David Duncan, Owner

Carlton Whaley

Carlton, better known as Carl, is the permitting consultant and “go to” guy with Duncan Home Construction. Carl started his career with Duncan Home Construction in the spring of 2018 after serving with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and retiring with the rank of Major. Just after retiring, David asked Carl to come to work with DHC and take care of the paperwork required to build custom homes here on the Forgotten Coast, and this would allow David added time on the job sites. Dave had confidence in Carl’s abilities, as they worked together for quite a few years at the Sheriff’s Office before David struck out to follow his career dreams. This career change led David and Carl to work together again. Carl also offers notary services and has been a notary for close to twenty years. If you need him, Carl is just a phone call, text or email away.

Jo M. Dunahoo

Jo serves as Duncan Home Construction’s Office Manager and accountant. She has been with Duncan Home Construction for eight years and has formed lasting relationships and friendships with homeowners as well as banking and finance entities.  Because homeowners come from all over the country, Jo is one of the points of contacts for updates, photos, texts, emails and accounting, is partial to cost accounting and joins us here in Franklin County through California, Tennessee, and calls Gulf and Franklin Counties home.
